The bass is amazing. Quite rigid like my 1970, single coil pre CBS except for lollipop tuners, Telecaster bass. It has gotten better with age. I also put on an OEM Fender bent metal bridge that has the holes for body through stringing or bridge stringing and four individual bridge pieces. It is not heavy mass. Looks just like a P bass bridge.
